We are all now facing an unprecedented health care crisis that is having extensive ramifications for our profession. In particular, we understand the serious impact that the COVID-19 outbreak has had on your robotic surgery practices especially with the postponement or cancellation of elective procedures for the foreseeable future. We also understand how rapidly robotic surgery skills can degrade and how important it is for you to try and maintain those skills during this period of inactivity. To that end, Mimic would like to help our robotic surgery community by offering an opportunity for our partner surgeons and institutions to rent training simulators on a monthly basis at a below market rate. The FlexVR and dV-Trainer simulators can be internet connected to allow data collection to help you monitor your skills retention and also allow for resident training to continue during this extended period of limited actual case volume. If you wish more information, please contact me our team here in Seattle. Stay healthy and hang in there!
